I recently had the pleasure of completing an artist in residence program at the Chopin School of Music in Warsaw, Poland, where Professor Alina Mleczko teaches. Her talented, hard-working students were a tribute to her teaching abilities and a true pleasure to work with. Professor Mleczko is one of Europe's top saxophone soloists, performing in both Eastern and Western Europe's strongly supported chamber music programs, concert series and festivals. She recently performed Heitor Viita-Lobos' "Fantasia" with the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra.

Her new CD "Siesta" consists this time of more popular repertoire, but still ambitious. Those are well-known pieces of classical music, melodic and nostalgic,well-matched just for a rest during a hot and sunny siesta.
